How To Live At Ease

If you are zero, there won’t be any problem, confusion or dilemma. Similarly, if you are infinite there won’t be any problem. Because zero and infinite are similar. Think about it.
Problem arises when the 1,2,3,4,5 counting starts e.g. I can love this much not more, my responsibility is that much, or I can accept this much only and not beyond etc. When love, responsibility and acceptance become infinite there would be no confusion, no conflict.
Either be zero or be infinite. Both will liberate you, give u satisfaction. But 1,2,3,4,5 is gonna put you in limbo. You want to be in a limbo or you want to be liberated and satisfied in life?

It is possible. You just need to understand and let it happen consciously initially and in some time it will happen automatically. Love, responsibility and acceptance- just three ingredients- make them infinite within you. Stop the counting game.

Diet for Rainy Season

Rainy season brings with it a host of diseases and infections. But with a little attention towards diet and lifestyle one can ward off all ailments.

Among other things, our body constitutes of three basic elements or biological energy forces- Vata(Air element), Pitta(Fire element) and Kapha(water element). When there is imbalance among these elements, it causes diseases.
Weather, climate, food, lifestyle and stress can affect these elements.
Rainy or monsoon season causes imbalance in Vata mostly due to high humidity but, when it does not rain for many days it also aggravates Pitta. These doshas can be regulated to a great extent through suitable diet and lifestyle to keep the body free from ailments.

What is Hinduism?

The word Hindu has been adapted from the word Sindhu or Indus, which is a river in the North-western part of India and current day Pakistan. It means the inhabitants of this region.

Hinduism is a philosophy. It is a way of living, which considers everything sacred. It has numerous gods and goddesses, which relate to every living or non-living entity. From rain god to wind god to fire god; hindus have a god for everything around them. This system of worshipping everything was created with an intention to preserve creation, to save ourselves and everything around from extinction. Relating any object with god automatically made it an object to be treated with respect, and also to be afraid of in case one displeased the gods. Hinduism teaches the ideal way of living. It is a well thought out system because when one worships or considers something sacred; one cannot misuse, disrespect or destroy it. He is bound to protect it. Hindu way of life is about having unbiased compassion, respect and love for every aspect of creation. It’s various rituals aim towards pacifying the uncontrollable mind and fill the thoughts with positive energy. It’s a practice to live amicably with nature and other living entities.
The numerous texts on hindu philosophy talk elaborately on life after death but at the same time, they are always insisting on the present. They are always focussing on how important the current form of life is and what is the best noble way of living it to the fullest and how to stay away from several sins which cause negativity inside and around.
Hinduism insists on ultimately relating with the Supreme, the creator. And, who is the ultimate creator? It is not Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, or any other god. It is that who created even the Gods. Gods are the paths through which one finds the supreme. The rituals performed to please any god aim at ultimately finding the Supreme through a positive mind, body and soul. We may address that Supreme with any name according to our beliefs, culture and convenience.

Heartburn and Acidity: Tried, tested and super effective remedy

We all suffer from acidity and heartburn once in a while and some people have it more frequently and severely. In this post you'll find a very effective remedy for heartburn which is also effective in treating polyps and ulcers of the abdomen.

First of all switch to drinking luke warm water. Make it  habit and try not to drink chilled water ever. Warm water aids digestion while cold water hinders the digestion process. Do not drink excess water immediately after a meal. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes then drink as much as you like.

Secondly, prepare tea with following ingredients:

1. Liquorice root- two inch stick
2. Fennel seed- two table spoons
3. Seeded Raisins (Munakka)- 8 to 10 pieces
4. Dried rose petels (optional)- 2 to 3 tablespoons
5. Water- around 500ml

Boil and shimmer the above ingredients on low flame for 15 to 20 minutes. Let it cool down and drink it as tea, three to four times everyday. You'll surely get rid of heartburn and acidity and if you are suffering from ulcers or polyps, it would soothe and cure that too.

Note: Liquorice may cause high blood pressure in some cases if eaten in excess. So be easy on that.

It is not very difficult to achieve wellbeing and balance in life once we feel the positive difference that simple little changes in the everyday life can cause. Simply, regulating the day can make things automatically fall in its place and reduce a lot of stress we go through. Little changes like correcting sleep cycle, meal times, bit of exercise or yoga, reducing salt, sugar and fat from diet, herbs over chemicals etc can make a huge difference which, one can quickly get addicted to due to its positive impact.

A very wrong practice that majority of us have got used to is popping pills for any kind of ailment like pain killers, paracetamol, cough syrups etc. Allopathy, treats by chemically killing the problems. But chemicals, don’t know what is good for you and what is bad. So, they kill everything. While Allopathic medicines can be the better option for fast relief and life saving during emergency or in infectious diseases, alternative and natural treatments concentrate on strengthening the body’s defence mechanism, making the body fit enough to heal itself and keep it immune to diseases. They may require a little patience before they start showing their effectiveness, but they surely can cure. A combination of western and traditional approaches for better health can be very effective.

But like chemical cures, traditional or alternative methods can also have side effects if not taken properly and therefore, proper knowledge, diagnosis and correct dosage are very important.
A serious problem to alternative therapies is the widespread of quakes or fraud doctors. Quacks practicing Ayurveda, Homeopathy and traditional Chinese medicine are too common everywhere and most of them start practicing after only a 6 months diploma in the particular medicine or something similar from any local institute. This can be too dangerous and may result in severe side effects if not diagnosed or administered properly by an authorised practitioner. Like allopathy, ayurveada, homeopathy etc also require intense training before one can start practicing it. I believe any form of treatment is good as long as a qualified practitioner aimed at keeping one alive and healthy without disturbing body’s natural balance does it.
